## Nava Raipur to Get a Big Semiconductor Factory Zone
Good news for Chhattisgarh. The Government of India has officially given the go-ahead for a new Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Nava Raipur, where a company called Polymatech Electronics will build a factory to make semiconductors and electronic parts.
### What Happened
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified this zone on a piece of land at Mandir Hasaud, in Nava Raipur's Atal Nagar area. The land is about 10 hectares. The government had already given its first approval back in June 2026, and now it has been made official through a Gazette notification.
The government has also made this zone an "Inland Container Depot," which simply means it will be easier and faster for the company to import and export goods from here.

The company's CEO, Mr. Eswara Rao Nandam, said this is a big step for them. He said Nava Raipur was chosen because it has good roads, reliable electricity, strong connectivity, and a supportive government. He also said this project will create jobs for skilled workers in the area.
This is not the only good news for Nava Raipur. Just a few weeks back, the state government also announced a Rs 550 crore plan to turn the Botanical Garden and Nandan-Van area into a big tourism spot with a resort, museum, and more. So both industry and tourism are growing here at the same time.
